Fraud in climate protection projects in China?

Mineral oil companies in Germany can achieve their legally mandated climate targets through climate protection projects in China. We have revealed to ZDF that many of these projects exist only on paper.

Climate protection projects worth more than half a billion euros were merely a sham. Consumers bear the costs when they fill up their cars or buy heating oil. The projects are approved by the Federal Environment Agency. Renowned German testing institutes and global oil companies are embroiled in the scandal. You can watch the Frontal21 report here.
